Arnold Arboretum Couples Session Feat. Duck the Dog! | Boston LGBTQ+ Photographer
Is there anything better than spring blooms and puppy? Probably not. I’m so glad that Caroline and JJ reached out to schedule a session for after their new addition, Duck, arrived! They found me through their friends who I did a newborn session for last year. Proof that word of mouth really does help small business! (If you want to help with that, leave a review on Facebook and Google.)
If you’ve seen any of my work, you know I work at Arnold Arboretum A LOT. Like, more than any other location. In the spring at the arboretum, I almost always do sessions close to the main entrance where there are amazing flowering trees, but also about a million other people. Caroline and JJ love Peter’s Hill, on the other side of the arboretum, and convinced me we should check it out instead. It was a great decision! Though there aren’t giant flowering trees packed in together, there are some amazing flowering trees that made a perfect backdrop for this session and waaaaaay fewer people.
The trek up the hill is best when you stop for some shots along the way! And it’s all worth it when you get to the view of the skyline at the top.
Duck really enjoyed the walk back down because we mostly just let him chew on his bone instead of trying to get him to do what we wanted. Good thing he’s cute no matter what he’s doing! Truly, he was extremely well behaved for a puppy. If you want your puppy to behave as well as Duck, check out my blog post about bringing your dog to your session.
The last spot we had to make sure to stop at was my favorite. There is something so magical about these pines and the way the sun comes through them in the evening. It doesn’t feel like you’re in a city at all. It was such a beautiful way to wrap up a fantastic session.
